
Keacy Carty
Keacy Uydess Carty is a dashing young right-handed middle-order batsman hailing from the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten where he played cricket until the age of 17. Born on March 19th, 1997, Carty was awarded his first professional contract to represent the Leeward Islands in West Indies regional cricket the following year, at just 18 years of age.
Tipped by many as a certain star for the West Indies senior team in the near future, Carty has already donned the prestigious West Indies colours when he was named in the West Indies squad for the Under-19 World Cup of 2016. His team went onto win the tournament becoming the only West Indies under 19 team to do so in history. Carty starred in the final, hitting a splendid 52 not out to ensure his team reached victory. He was subsequently named Man of the Final and received a hero’s welcome upon his return to Sint Maarten.
